About the Symposium

Infectious diseases, with the evolution of new viruses and bacterial superbugs, pose a major threat to the mankind and nature. This symposium will discuss various contemporary issues in the infectious disease biology; and aims to cover viruses such Japanese encephalitis, Dengue, Chikungunya, Hepatitis and HIV; and bacteria such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Salmonella typhi and Staphylococcus aureus which have shown reemergence in the recent past and are highly relevant in the Indian context. Eminent researchers from across the globe studying these pathogens will participate in the conference along with young researchers and students.
