The Centre invites students with post-graduate degree (or equivalent) in any field of Science or technology to work under the mentorship of its faculty. In addition, the candidate must have qualified a national level test for pursuing PhD and receiving the doctoral fellowship. Preference will be given to the candidates having intense interest to work at the interface of multiple disciplines in the areas related (but not limited) to structural, systems, synthetic and chemical biology, analysis of complex diseases for identification of intervention points and development of knowledge-based drug discovery strategies.
RCB has initiated an interdisciplinary doctoral programs in the area of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics. Since RCB's current strength lies mostly in the area of Life Sciences and Biotech Sciences, these interdisciplinary programs are being conducted in partnership with other institutions by creating a virtual faculty pool. These programmes are being supported through a collaborations with the global pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and are subject to RCB statutes, ordinances and regulations.
